| 1 | CROSS PERMEABILITY TEST APPARATUS 01 No To determine the following parameters:Permeability of geotextiles under unidirectional flow conditions and meets the requirements of ASTM-D4491-92 & The permeability characteristics of geotextiles normal to the plane complying to ASTM D4491 The systems should be capable of performing both Constant Head test and Variable test according to the above-mentioned standards. Constant Head Test: A head of at least 50 mm of water should be maintained on the geotextile throughout the test. The quantity of flow is to be measured versus time. Falling Head Test: A column of water is to be allowed to flow through the geotextile, and a reading of head changes versus time is taken. The flow rate of water through geotextiles shall be slow enough to obtain accurate readings. Specification: Reference Standard: ASTM D4491. The system should be capable of performing tests using both the constant head method and the variable head method. The constant head test is to be carried out using a head of 50 mm of water. Applicable specimen diameter should be 100 mm. The cross-permeability test apparatus should have an overhead tank of at least 110 litres capacity. A loading unit of dead weight type of at least 300 kPa capacity should be supplied. IN PLANE PERMEABILITY TEST APPARATUS: 01 No To determine the following parameters: The flow rate per unit within the manufactured plane of geosynthetics under normal compressive stress and a constant head complying with ASTM- D4716. Specifications: Reference Standard: ASTM- D4716 This system should be capable of measuring the quantity of water that flows through a test specimen along the plane of the geotextile. In the apparatus, flow occurs radially outwards, from a central hole to the periphery of a circular specimen. The cross-permeability test apparatus should have an overhead tank of at least 110 litres capacity. A loading unit of dead weight type of at least 300 kPa capacity should be supplied. Additional Terms and Conditions/Requirements Manufacturer should have comprehensive production facilities, after sales service facility & infrastructure, Accredited Calibration and Quality control Test Laboratory. Manufacturing Capacity & capabilities of the supplier and workmanship of the instrument shall be assessed by concerned official before finalizing the order, The company/bidder should have NABL accredited service wing (proof to be produced), The bidder must have their own R & D centre and valid ISO certification (proof to be provided), Manufacturing of the machine should be as per required testing standards within the specified tolerance limits., Qualified Service Engineer and customer support Staff should be available in the local office in the nearest metropolitan city (Kolkata). They should impart necessary training free of cost to our personal for operation of the equipment supplied, Authority may visit bidder s works/Users place to evaluate the quality Control, after sales backup facility, expert availability etc., Bidder must have a turn over of at least 100 crore and at least 20 years of experience in this field, Vendor must have supplied in earlier instances three working models either at IISc, NIT, IIT or CSIR lab. The purchase order of the same must be produced, Vender must supply original catalogue with Photo and Model number of equipment along with signature. The details also should be available in the website of the manufacturer, Reference standards of the equipment should be mentioned/highlighted in original catalogue and in technical bid, Supplier/manufacturer blacklisted by any Govt.
