| 2 | De-sludging/cleaning completely of solid sludge by pumping and or manually from inside the septic tank and removal of sludge to a distance as directed by Engineer-in-Charge and depositing the sludge in a excavated pit of appropriate size as directed duly filled up with earth in layers of 30 cm thick including spreading bleaching powder and taking out RCC manhole cover slab for cleaning and resetting in CM 1:6 after cleaning complete as specified and as directed. | 3 | Cleaning of sewage drain pipe of stone ware pipe, RCC Hume pipe , PVC pipe of 75 mm bore by rodding with sectional sewer rod/flexible sewer rod/bucket etc thoroughly from inspection chamber to man hole or from one manhole to another manhole of any depth and size and well flushing with water after cleaning including removal of sludge and other materials obtained from cleaning the drain pipe and manhole garbage to a pit made for this purpose and filling up the earth complete as specified and as directed. Note :-(i) Cleaning of sewage line to be started from down stream side in this operation for which some pipe line gets cleaned automatically which needs to be cleaned by rodding only and hence the same shall not be measured (ii) The unit rate of the items shall be deemed to be included for the cost of removal of sludge/waste and water accumulated in manhole/inspection chamber due to cleaning of drain by rodding etc. (iii) The sludge obtained shall be deposited in an excavated pit and filled up with earth in layers of 30cm thick as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Cost of spreading bleaching powder and excavating the earth pit and filling of earth etc. shall be included in the rate quoted under this item but supplying of bleaching powder shall be measured and paid separately.
