| 2 | (a) Diesel Engine :- Diesel Engine shall be 4 stroke liquid cooled, electric start, of suitable BHP at 1500 RPM suitable for above output of alternator at ambient temprature of 50 C ,50% RH & at 1000m above MSL, turbo charged, electronic governor, conforms to BS:5514/ISO 3046, BS 649, IS 10000 with capacity of 10% overload for one hour in every 12 Hours of contineous operation. The engine shall have noise limit of 75 dB(A) at 1 metre (or complied with CPCB and Environmental norms as notified by GoI time to time), Emission limit ( NOx + THC or NOx + NMHC or RHC <= 4.0 g/kW-hr, CO <= 3.5 g/kW-hr , PM <=0.2 g/kW-hr and Smoke limit <=0.7 m as applicable to diesel engine) notified by Min of Env vide GSR 281(E) dt 07 Mar 2016(and amendment thereof ,if any). The OEM shall undertake Type approval and conformity of production certificate for emission standard for engine from agencies approved by GoI. Copy of the same shall be produced. The engine shall be engraved clearly as DIESEL on the cylinder block and a conformance label meeting the following requirement shall be affixed :- (a) Name and address of manufactuter of engine (b) Statement that the engine or product conforms to Env(Protection) Rules, 1986 (c) Type approval certificate number (d) Date of manufacture of engine (e) Rated speed and corresponding gross power in kW.
