| 1 | Supplying at site hot-dipped galvanized steel members for tower to fix the same wherever found missing or replace any damaged / bent tower members all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (The materials to be used for tower - members shall be galvanized M.S. of grade A as per IS: 2062 -1999 and IS: 808 -1989 and satisfy the relevant test as per IS codes. The fabrication shall be done in accordance with IS: 800-1984 and also in accordance with the approved drawings for the towers under maintenance. The galvanizing shall conform to IS: 4759 and 2629. | 2 | Supplying at site hot-dipped galvanized M.S nuts, bolts, spring washers and plain washers of required size for fixing the same at the joints / junctions of tower wherever found required during maintenance of tower all complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (The material for nuts, bolts shall be of grade 4.6 and as per 6639- 1972, IS: 1364 (Part I to V) -2002, IS: 1367 ( Part VIII) -1992, Plain washers as per IS: 6610-1972 and spring washers of type B as per IS:3063-1994, IS:1148-1982, IS:2015-1977). | 240.00 | Kg. |
| 3 | Carrying out detailed and precise checking of all nuts and bolts, spring and plain washers provided at all the joints / junctions of the base assembly, vertical legs members, face bracings members, various members of working platforms at different levels, antenna fixtures assembly, lightening arrestors, aviation light, earth resistance, ladders with safety cage, wave guide racks and all other figurers etc, proper tightening of all the nuts with torque wrench of required size etc. complete including fixing of new hot-dipped galvanized nuts, bolts, spring and plain washers etc. of various sizes where found missing / required, including providing and applying rust removing solution and cutting the nuts / bolts etc. wherever required to be replaced, including facilitating theodolite & binoculars for checking the verticality of tower and inspection/checking of work all complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge. | ||
| 4 | The rates include cost of dismantling / dismembering of any deformed / bent / de-shaped members which are required to be replaced or repaired. Payment for supplying hot-dipped galvanized nuts, bolts, spring and plain washers, structural members etc. shall be made separately under relevant items. The agency shall produce insurance coverage certificate for works, failing which a sum of Rs. 5000/- per tower shall be deducted from their bill. Insurance of labours shall be excercised by the agency before the execution of the work and during execution of the the work labours must be equipped with safety belt, Safety Cap etc. for life safety. | ||
