| 1 | Planning, organizing, execution and monitoring by engaging Water Works Engineer of day to day operation and maintenance of 4 nos. flash mixers, 4 nos. clari-floculators includes 16 no flocculating units, including supplying and proper stacking, and making alum and PAC solutions of correct proportion directed by the laboratory as required,(Alum may be required to fall directly within the channel in front of inlet well as & when necessary manually as directed by EIC) after weighting alum and poly-electrolyte, lifting the alum/crushed alum and PAC to respective tanks, mixing the same with water to make proper solution as necessary including operation and maintenance of all valves, switch, gear, EOT & HOT Cranes, agitators, metering pumps and all other machineries. Proper arrangement should be kept for supply & delivery of Poly-Aluminium Chloride (PAC) as and when necessary, as directed for production of treated water by engaging skilled and experienced operator, helpers, electrician, plumber, mechanic etc. under the supervision of Shift Supervisor as may be necessary for running the plant efficiently as per specification and direction of EIC in three shifts of eight hours each for a running time as required and directed by EIC. All as per direction and specification of EIC including making entry in the WTP Log Book, producing daily, weekly and monthly records as directed by EIC. | ||
| 2 | Planning, organizing, execution and monitoring by engaging Water Works Engineer of day to day operation and maintenance of 3 nos. chlorinator of capacity of 30 Kg./ ltr. for pre-chlorination and post-chlorination as necessary for exclusion of all undesirable micro-organism and to maintain the desired residual chlorine by operating and maintaining all valves, control equipment, injectors, switches, electrical devices, and all other associated accessories including supplying, fitting, fixing and handling chlorine cylinders as may be necessary for production of treated water by engaging skilled experienced operators, helpers etc. as per specification and direction of EIC for running the plant efficiently in three shift of eight hours each for a running time as required and directed by EIC. The maintenance work like lifting arrangement of cylinders replacement of decayed lead washer, damaged nuts and bolts, corrugated coupling, running maintenance of Panel Board (SDB. Unit), checking, tightening of contact kits, sockets, glands, CRC, oiling, fuse replacement, periodical checking and maintenance of chlorine absorption system with replacement of chemical as necessary, maintenance of other safety devices like hand gloves, gas mask, helmet other tools and tackles and all remedial actions must be arranged against spread out of chlorine gas if any, All works has to be taken as per direction of EIC including making entry in the WTP Log Book, producing daily, weekly and monthly records as directed by EIC. | ||
| 3 | Planning, organizing, execution and monitoring by engaging Water Works Engineer of day to day operation and maintenance of 16 nos. filter bed for filtration of water by engaging skilled and experienced Water Works Shift Supervisor, operator, helper, plumber, mechanic, electrician etc. as may be necessary including operation and maintenance of all valves (pneumatically / actuator operated or otherwise), air compressor, air blower, control console panel, back wash arrangements including surface washing and back washing of filter beds by air scour and water wash as and when necessary as per specification and direction of EIC for running the water treatment plant efficiently running time as required and directed by EIC. Necessary running maintenance work includes cost of gland packing and rubber insertion changing, changing of specific size nuts and bolts etc but excluding cost of material like replacement of buckets (departmental supply) in pneumatic cylinder, calibration and adjustment of control devices in control chamber and control console unit. Operation and Maintenance of ROF and LOH gauge and other switches in control table/panel to keep it in working condition for all time, renewal of compressor pipes (departmental supply) oil filter cap, replacement and maintenance of bib-cock, pressure release cock, gate channels of all valves, scrapping and cleaning the filter bed and sand & gravel media against the growth of algal mass, running maintenance of motor control unit, SDB and main distribution panel in electrical control room towards checking and inspecting the contact kits, CRC oiling, tightening all socket glands, fuse replacement etc. to be conducted during running operation of the plant as per specification and direction of EIC all complete including making entry in the WTP Log Book, producing daily, weekly and monthly records as directed by EIC. | ||
| 4 | Maintenance and operation of rubber wheels, scrapping, rubbing etc and periodical Cleaning and disinfection etc. of inlet well, parshall flume, clarifloculator wall, launder, filter bed wall, air compressor pipe line, inlet to filter, filtered water channel, alum mixing and solution tank, PAC tank, preventing growth of algal messes etc. by applying bleaching powder. periodically removal of alum sludge from tank and cleaning the alum supply pipe line by internal washing. | ||
