| 1 | Excavation in earth work in hilly area all heights & depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soi, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiselling & wedging out rock ( where blasting is prohibited ). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawing or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge , in conformity with the requirement of technicalspecification for Rural Road, August, 2004 and clause 16.2 of General Conditions for Contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling & stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites & safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner including arrangement of dumping site, trimming, filling of unevenness, blind age and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for smooth riding including all leads and lifts. The recovery for stones, whether useful or not @ Rs. 300 /- ( Rupees Three hundred and paise nil ) only per Cubic metre shall be effected on prorata basis in all circumstances. Any loss to the public & private property during the course of excavation shall be absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.The land for dumping site shall be arranged by the contractor himself and nothing extra shall be paid on his account. | 3739.35 | Per cubic meter |
