| 1 | Charges to carry out operation and maintenance of swimming pool at IITM (Deep pool + Diving pool 50 m length x 24m width, depth varying from 1.35 m to 2 m at deep pool area and depth of 4.55m at diving pool area, and shallow pool 31x17.8m depth varying from 0.9 m to 1.35m). The rate quoted includes the following; (a) operating and maintaining the pool / dosing of required chemicals and disinfectants to maintain the quality of the water as per the standards (chemicals will be paid separately). (b) The minimum dosage of chemical to be used and manpower to be maintained are given below. (c) Cleaning of deep and shallow pool at the required frequency to maintain the pool algae and dirt free and also to see that the pool floor and wall spotlessly clean. (d) Minimum manpower to be engaged per day (Swimming pool cleaner with diving & suction machine operation skill - 4nos, Pump operator - 2nos, Housekeeping operative - 2nos, Supervisor (4hrs per day to maintain records, testing and quality control)- 1no and Plumber- 1 no. | ||
| 2 | 1. Schedule for cleaning a) Thorough Cleaning of walls at deep pool walls- Weekly once and shallow pool daily. In deep pool divers with accessories should be engaged. Leafs to be cleaned daily in deep and shallow pool. b) Suction sweeping Daily (deep and shallow pool) c) Gutter should be cleaned weekly once. d) Two pumps with motor for recycling of water should be operated for a minimum 12 hours per day. e) Back washing the filter with necessary chemicals as and when required (minimum monthly once). | ||
| 3 | 2.Equipments to be engaged a) Suction sweeper b) equipment s / accessories such as diving mask, oxygen cylinder, diving accessories for two persons minimum. c) All safety measures to be provided to the workers engaged. d) Water quality apparatus to measure pH, Chlorine content of water. | ||

Manpower requirement - The workers engaged should be trained for deep pool swimming with relevant certificates. a) Pump operators / cum pool operators -For operating the pumps- at least two staff in two shifts with experience in operating electrical pumps should be engaged, (preferably ITI holder in Electrical Engineering). b) For cleaning the pools and operating suction sweepers and other equipment s adequate number of staff. c) Divers with equipment s - 2 nos (to be engaged monthly twice at least for two days for cleaning the deep pool walls). d) Adequate workers other than above staff for cleaning toilets, pathways, surroundings). (Deduction towards not engaging the staff- Pump operators Rs 1500 per day, Divers- Rs 3000 per day). | ||

Chemicals to be used (Minimum) per day a) Sodium hypo-chloride / Chlorine granules as required b) Alum as required c) Soda ash- as required (the agency can use alternate disinfectants, the contractor should give the detailed procedure to be adopted for disinfection indicating dosage, costing etc. while quoting the tender. IITM deserve the rights to accept or reject the alternate proposal submitted by the agency ) |
