| 1 | Notes:- The following things needs to be considered while quoting the rates:- (i) The scope of work is to be carried out from ground level to nearly upto 30 metres of height at certain buildings/location (ii) Quoted rates are deemed to be inclusive of using mechanical means for surface preparation and application of paint as per manufaturer's instruction all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge for two coats of paint over one coat of primer (iii) Quoted rates are included for scaffolding as required. Contractors should arrange necessary scaffolding and all safety precautions for workers at the time of carrying out works as described in Sch 'A'/ BOQ. (iv) Contractor should visit the site before quoting the tender to assess the resources required to execute the work as the site being prestigeous buildings of INA under the scope of work. (v) The work is to be carried out at scattered location for small quantity also. (vi) Quoted rates includes for cleaning of paint stains on floor/window /joinery adjoining area surfaces. (vii) Contractor need to do preparation and painting of kerb stone / crash barriers by mechanical methods only. (viii) Contractor need to ensure the safety of labourers working at heights by taking insurance policy, providing proper PPE kit and adhere to all safety norms. (ix) Contractor need to remove all debris obtained from work without any delay to the dumping yards outside INA Ezhimala area. (x) Contractor need to understand the importance of POP and should employ sufficient labourers to meet the requirements. (xi) Contractor should procure the entire quantity of paint as per CA in single purchase and all the buckets should be numbered and shown to Engr in Charge with in 20 days of acceptance. If there is any valid reason for delay in procurement, the reason shall be informed to Engr in Charge on time in writing. (xii) All the surfaces should be cleaned with water jet wash/ mechanical means before application of paint. All painting work will also be done through mechanical means. (xiii) No electricity will be supplied by MES. Contractor should make own arrangements for transportation of water needed for washing, generator for electricity etc without any extra charge to the department. (xiv) Contractor should ensure proper covering of areas adjacent to painting with plastic sheets/ papers to avoid dripping marks of paint. Contractor should clean then and there if any painting drops/marks observed immediately before shifting to next place. | ||
