| 1 | Note: The following points shall be considered by the contractor while quoting rates. The quoted rates shall be deemed included these provisions and and contractor shall have no claim what so ever on this account :- (i) Contractor shall use mechanical equipments with using high pressure water jet for preparation kerb stone / crash barriers / external wall surfaces before painting as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (ii) Contractor shall ensure the safety of labours working at heights with proper PPE kit and adhere all safety norms. (iii) Contractor shall remove all debris obtained from demolition work and waste materials without any delay to the locations earmarked for dumping within INA premices. (iv) Contractor need to understand the importance of POP and should employ sufficient labours to meet the requirements as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (v) Contractor should procure the entire required quantity of paints as approved before POP and all the buckets should be numbered and shown to Engg In Charge well in advance. (vi) Contractor should make own arrangements for transportation of water needed for washing, generator for electricity etc without any extra charge to the department. (vii) Contractor should ensure proper covering of areas adjacent to painting with plastic sheets/ papers to avoid dripping marks of paint. Contractor should clean then and there if any painting drops/marks immediately before shifting to next place. Recovery of 20% of cost of painting will be made from contractor if proper cleaning not done. (viii) During mechanical painting, contractor should take precautions to avoid spashing and spreading of paint and surroundings should be properly cleaned. (ix) Contractor should take necessary steps to prevent soaking and wash off of freshly painted surfaces in case of rain occures. Damaged surfaces should be re-painted without any extra cost to the department. (x) The painting work may be at any height and contractor shall heve no claim whatsoever on this account . (xi) Quoted rates are included for scaffolding as required. Contractors should arrange necessary scaffolding and all safety precautions for workers at the time of carrying out works as described in Sch 'A'/ BOQ. (xii) The work may be carrie out at different location and in patches as per requirement. | ||
