| 1 | NOTE: 1.Evaluation will be done by excluding Provisional sum and GST Amount 2.GST is to be quoted @ rate of 18% 3.The bid price shall be net of Input Tax credit availed by the bidder i.e., base price shall not have any GST component in it. In effect, the clause 171 of GST, that is, the Anti-Profiteering Rule shall be adhered to. A self-declaration from the bidder on clause 171, shall be attached with the invoice. The output GST paid by the bidder shall be reimbursed by CHENNAI METRO RAIL LIMITED on production of the documentry evidence Preamble to Bill of Quantities 1. The quoted rates shall be inclusive of all incidental, ancillary, and enabling charges required for the execution of the painting works, including but not limited to scaffolding, man lifts, boom lifts, ladders, rope access systems, lighting arrangements, safety measures, and all other necessary equipment. No separate payment shall be made for such items, and payment shall be made only based on the measured quantity of painting work executed. 2. The Contractor shall quote rates after duly considering the restricted working hours and site conditions. Wherever required, the works shall be carried out during Non-Revenue Hours only. The Contractor shall plan and execute the works in accordance with the power block schedule finalized by CMRL from time to time. Provision of earthing arrangements, including an earth rod, before accessing the viaduct for carrying out painting activities shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor. 3. Painting works pertaining to station internal walls, internal roof surfaces, and PEB roof structures shall be executed only during the OHE power block period, or as directed by CMRL. Upon completion of each day's work, all scaffolding, ladders, access platforms, tools, and other painting-related accessories shall be removed from the work area to facilitate the safe resumption of train operations and passenger movement. 4. The quantities indicated in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) are provisional and intended for bidding purposes only. Payment shall be made based on the actual quantities of work executed and measured at the site. 5. Variations in the BOQ items shall be permissible up to ±25% of the overall contract value. 6. All minor cracks in walls, door and window jambs, terraces, and similar surfaces shall be properly treated and sealed using approved crack-filling compounds prior to the commencement of painting works. No separate payment shall be made for such minor crack repairs. Repairs to major cracks or other substantial surface defects, where directed by the Engineer, shall be measured and paid separately under the relevant plastering/repair items. | ||
