| 1 | Cutting of wild vegetation, including grass, shrubs, bushes, etc., up to a height of 150 mm from ground level using a tractor fitted with at least one (01) Jungle Jim attachment, and removing the cut material from the airfield area. The cut material shall be deposited at locations as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge in consultation with User. Notes for SI Item No. 1 (i) Cutting/trimming of vegetation shall be carried out to maintain the height of the grass not exceeding 150 mm above natural ground level throughout the contract period. The frequency of cutting/trimming shall be as required and as directed by the User. (ii) The Contractor, his employees, workmen, materials, machinery, and equipment shall be permitted to enter and exit only through such gates and at such times as may be permitted by the GE or the authorities/User of the restricted area, at their sole discretion. The Contractor shall comply with all traffic regulations applicable within and outside the restricted area. (iii) The Contractor shall remain responsible for complying with all applicable labour laws, including the Code on Social Security, 2020, the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, and the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, as amended from time to time. | 960000 | Square Meter |

(iv) The Contractor shall provide all necessary Protective Equipment including safety coveralls, clear safety goggles or face shields, and Wellington boots, to his workmen/employees. The Contractor shall also provide "Work in Progress" boards/barriers at the work site and comply with all traffic regulations and safety instructions issued by the IAF authorities during execution of work on the runway. The Contractor shall remain solely responsible for the payment of wages and all other statutory dues payable to his workmen/employees in accordance with the applicable labour laws. (v) The Contractor shall maintain a register of grass cutting and cleaning operations, which shall be duly signed by the Engineer-in-Charge and the User. The same shall be submitted along with the payment claim. Payment shall be made only for the actual grass cutting/trimming and cleaning work executed at site. (vi) During the execution of the work, the Contractor shall collect all grass clippings generated from the grass-cutting operations using a vacuum machine and shall dispose of them in a proper manner, ensuring that the work site remains clean and tidy to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. |
